The Last Story official North American release date announced
Sure, just like how it was the "Final" Fantasy
According to an announcement today from publisher XSEED, Mistwalker's The Last Story will finally be making its way to North America later this Summer after an agonizing18 month waitfor fans waiting for it to be brought over from Japan.
The official release date, IGN learned is now set for August 14, 2012. The Last Story was directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the famed visionary designer of the Final Fantasy series. The Last Story doesn't have much to do with Final Fantasy however. Despite being a Japanese RPG, the two titles are quite dissimilar.
The Last Story features wide-ranging gameplay elements like some real-time strategy, stealth, and a cover system. It will be published by XSEED who have also published several other niche Japanese games in North America including Little King's Story and Rune Factory Frontier.
