LFF 2009: Line-up announced
The capital’s cinematic celebration is a corker this year…
The Times BFI 53rd London Film Festival has announced its line-up at a morning press call and the event – running from 14-29 September – looks like being the best yet. As, incidentally, was the coffee.
Artistic Director Sandra Hebron was on hand to announce the films that – important this – THE PUBLIC HAVE A CHANCE OF SEEING, starting off with the ones we already know about, Fantastic Mr. Fox and closes with Nowhere Boy.
Other highlights that are simply easier to list: The Men Who Stare At Goats (starring George Clooney, he’s pitching up in Blighty to say hello), Up In The Air (starring George Clooney, he’s pitching up in Blighty to say hello), A Serious Man (by the Coen Brothers, they’re pitching up), The Informant! (by Steven Soderbergh, he’s pitching up) and Toy Story 2 in 3D. Which will be eye-popping.
