Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII side quest guide
Friends Forever
The shadows of Yusnaan Palace can make it hard to see, but a Chocobo is definitely there
The next Chocobo is by one of the men repairing the statue YOU toppled. Good going, Lightning
The third Chocobo is by the woman at the Cactuar Statue
If you’re coming up Central Avenue, expect to find the fourth Chocobo slightly to the left once you reach the fireworks
Then swing by Terrace Cafe for No. 5
The last one? Near a curious station worker staring at a wall
Who you get it from: Primrose, a young woman at the bottom of the steps connecting The Auger’s Quarter and The Reveler’s Quarter.
When you can obtain the quest: After completing Main Quest 2-3. Upon exiting the Auger’s Quarter, you’ll be able to spot Primrose at the bottom of the steps. Note: This would also be a good time to pursue the ‘Play It for Me’ quest since you’ll treading over the same areas of the map.
Rewards for completion: 1800 gil, Chocoberet x1, Chocobo Figurine x1, Max HP +8, Strength +8, Magic +10
Instructions for completion: Primrose is looking for six Chocobo friends. To begin searching for them, go back through the Auger’s Quarter gate. Make your way to the Yusnaan palace garden, head west, and talk to the guard. Then go back to the Auger’s Quarter and talk to the guy hammering away at the fallen statue. Head back to Cactuar Plaza and talk to the young woman sitting by the Cactuar Statue. Then go up the stairs of Central Avenue and look for the fireworks launchers at the top of the steps. There’s a nameless merchant nearby with the next Chocobo.
Now go to the Terrace Cafe in The Glutton’s Quarter to find a Chocobo near a woman seated at one of the tables. Finally, while facing the entrance of Yusnaan Station, go to the left exterior of the station to find a man staring at a wall. He’ll have the last Chocobo. Return to Primrose to complete the quest.
