Lords Mobile partners with Dreamworks' Shrek as part of a festive Apple giveaway
A present from Far Far Away
Kingdom-building strategy game Lords Mobile has partnered with Universal and Dreamworks to bring Shrek - and plenty of the other inhabitants of Far Far Away - to its mobile game.
Live now, Dreamworks Winter Fest has brought everyone's favorite many-layered ogre to the Kingdoms of Athena. Shrek, Fiona, Puss-in-Boots, and Donkey arrived on December 1, and will be helping run events until January 31.
You can kickstart Shrek's adventures by using royal crowns during the in-game event to search for page fragments, completing puzzles to win in-game rewards including a Shrek castle skin. You'll also be able to head to the Far Far Away Shop, where you can exchange Ogre Signs collected as part of the event for a number of exclusive items such as a Shrek leader skin. Both the page fragments and the Ogre signs can also be traded in for emotes and avatars linked to the collaboration, as well as brand-new artifacts.
You'll also be able to take part in an array of Lords Mobile x Shrek events, from now until January 31, with the chance to win in-game and real-world prizes. For instance, characters like Shrek and Fiona will be leading factions in the Fantasy Faction War, where participants could win an Apple Watch Ultra 2, an exclusive Lords Mobile keyboard and mouse set from Logitech, as well as Extraordinary Chests to open within the game. In Lords Homecoming, you can invite friends to return to the game for a chance to win an iPhone Pro Max, Amazon gift cards, a PS5, collab merch, and more. Or complete the Adventure Puzzle to win an Adventure Gift and unlock a bonus for even more prizes. Head to the official Lords Mobile x Dreamworks Shrek website for more details.
To cap off the event, developer IGG is even bringing the Shrek x Lords Mobile collaboration to life outside of the game. Lords Mobile hero Oath Keeper will stand alongside Shrek in a snow sculpture which players can view at the Jingyuetan National Scenic Spot in Changchun, China, with the top ten guilds from the Guild Fest event being immortalized as part of the statue.
To take part in the event and be in with a chance of winning these prizes, you can download Lords Mobile via the App Store or Google Play, or via Steam or the game's official standalone PC version. Be sure to follow the game on Facebook for more information on upcoming events!
