Luke Evans talks reinventing Dracula
Exclusive: “I’m taking on the king of vampires”
Luke Evans deservedly earns a spot in the Future 100 inside the new issue of Total Film magazine , having recently bagged himself roles in Fast & Furious 6 , The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug , The Crow remake , and Universal’s 2014 Dracula reboot.
You can catch up with the full feature inside the issue (available for only £1.99 on your iPad ), but here’s a sneaky peek at what Evans had to say about playing Drac…
"It was nice to play a hero in The Hobbit and then play a bad guy in Fast & Furious 6 , and now I’m taking on the king of the vampires!
“I don’t want to give anything away because it would spoil it in the long run but we’re talking about the origins of Dracula,” he offered.
“Vlad the Impaler hasn’t been alive for nearly 800 years so that gives you an idea of the sort of the place where we would begin this film. It’s a very different world to where we are now...”
Dracula is currently scheduled to open in June 2014.
