Mad Max: Fury Road footage minus the CGI is still absolutely f***kin' awesome
Mad Max: Fury Road blew everyone away last year, and will continue to do so until the end of time. It's one of those movies that won over audiences due to its brilliant handling of action, refreshing the genre in a way that no-one expected.
As it turns out, the utter badassness of George Miller's movie is... well, even more badass than we initially thought. A new video circulating online cuts together pre-production videos, behind-the-scenes clips and raw footage without any CGI whatsoever. The coolest thing about it? It's equally as impressive as the finished product. Check it out:
Normally these types of videos are a lot of fun because it's all "wow, Game of Thrones uses a LOT of greenscreen!" This footage is the exact opposite. It just goes to show the ingenuity of the stunt co-ordinators and the real impact that using practical effects has on a movie. I mean, those stuntmen dangling precariously from very high cranes and the end of poles has got to add a touch of realism to things, right?
