If you have a low salary and need to sign in new players don't turn your salary cap off. Because if you do you won't get Owner Mode. One thing you can do is that the computer automatically puts what the player want's in other mode how much money he wants lower it put the signing bones up. Somtimes the player will reject but keep on putting it up bye 10k and soon enough he will accept lower that what he was asking for.(while you put salary up little bye little put signing bones to it's max they like signing bones to it's max)

Create a player without increasing any of his attributes. You can even lower them a little more to make his price as low as possible. Sign him for 7 years for next to nothing, then go back into create a player and increase his attributes to whatever you want them to be without raising salary. You can even max them out, but how much fun would that be?

You know how on Gamecube version of Madden 2004 it take up alot of Blocks, we'll if you have two memorycards that would together equal the amount needed in the game, put on in the save some of the info and another one to save another aspect of the game, and then when you play put the correct card (that has what you are trying to load) and then after its loaded take it out and then load the rest off the other card and play!

PS2 | Submitted by J-TrainNo Cap in Started Franchise
To turn off the cap in a franchise you already have started get your team extremely close to the salary cap (100k to 0k works for me) but you have to be missing a player you need (ex. have only 4 WR) then try to go to a regular or pre-season game it will say something to the effect of "You need a WR" then give you a choice to sign one or have the CPU sign it, choose CPU. Then it will pause for a second and say "no cap room choose cancel to sign player yourself or choose ok to turn off salary cap permanately. "Its that simple warning though this will turn off owner mode for good

PS2 | Submitted by AntTouchback
First get a fast QB that can scramble (i prefer Vick), and when u score a touchdown, go for 2. Run the ball with your QB and slide once u reach the endzone. If done correctly, you'll hear whistles blowing and then you will kick the ball at the 1.
-This also works in 2-minute drill. Go for two and slide with your QB. If u slide, u will get the ball on the 1. It's an ez 2000 points.

PS2 | Submitted by MikeA Few Tips
In Owner Mode once your team has been to a Super Bowl, the following season you can trade your draft picks to sorry teams and they are always willing to do this. You can receive 1st 2nd and 3rd round draft picks for one 1st round draft pick.
Also in Owner Mode if you have a player you want to get rid of but don't want to have a cap penalty, at the end of the season, before you go to off-season mode you resign them for a one year deal. At the beginning of the off-season their contract will be up.
Once you begin the draft, draft the player you want and then go to trade and trade 2nd and 3rd round picks for another 1st round pick. After doing this DO NOT go back into the draft. Instead, go to the rookie signing portion of the off-season menu. The trade will give you their 1st round pick but the team you traded with will not get the picks you traded to them. You won't be able to choose your other draft picks but the computer is usually pretty good about addressing your team's needs.

PS2 | Submitted by John DoeVarious Hints-n-Tips
In Owner Mode, when you get to the Playoffs you should raise your ticket prices, food, merchandise, and parking over the expected prise. The Fans may complain, but they will pay up to see your team play in the Playoffs (You need to have the homefield advantage to do this).
Also in Owner Mode (will be referred to as OM from now on) at the end of your season SAVE YOUR GAME, before advancing to the off-season. Take a look at your retired players, not restart your system and trade them off for some draft picks, or whatever you can get.
NOTE--This will only work if you turn OFF the trade deadline option.
In OM your advisors may mislead you. When I raised prices they told me that fans were grumbling about high prices (Don't make them too ridiculous!). If you only raise them a few over the expected, fans will still continue to come. However, if you notice a considerable drop (over 5%) of people not attending you should hold a fan appreciation day. The best ones are the ones like tame atographs, team movies, etc. Anything that has to do with the team will be big. If you happen to see nothing that has anything to do with the team, just go back to the OM menu, and go back to the fan appreciation day menu. Each time you go back and forth you get new options.
You may not think that this matters, but it DOES. Each time you play a game look at the teams roster you are playing. Take a look at their weaknesses and strengths. Now go under coach options and see you gameplain to the opposite of the opponents teams strengths (ex. if the team you're facing has a strong running back, set your team to worry about the run more, if the opponent has a weak secondary, set you O gameplain to be passing). Now that you've done that go to management and tell all of your players exactly how they are to play. If you want to pass rush set you D-line to the pass-rush side of the bar, if you want them to stop the run, slide the bar to the other side. Do this to all of your players, and you will be a LOT more successful in your game.
In OM if a star player is starting to get old do not hesitate to trade him for draft picks. I suggest you do this. While in the short term you lose a star player, in the long term your rookies will be developed into stars when your opponents start to worry about getting new players. You will be one-step ahead of the CPU. For example, if you play as the Rams (go RAMS) you see that Bulger is much younger than Warner and will be as good with a couple more years of playing time under his belt. You should trade Warner for a butt-load of draft picks at the end of the year to the team that gets to pick first. I got all of the Cardinals picks for Warner, and 5 out of those 7 are starters in my second season, 2 out of those 7 are on the road to the pro-bowl, and my rookie CB, is nominated for the rookie-of-the-year award. Trust me, you need to do this.
WARNING-Don't trade all of your star players, your rookies play better with a veteran to look up to.

PS2 | Submitted by Eraser97Run QB, Run
If you have a good running QB and you are doing a pass play, and if you don't see anyone open or you see a big hole to run through press L2 and take off. You usually pick up some good yards. But your QB might fumble or the defense of lineman might break lose and sack you, or you cold get hurt so don't try it to much. (QB's to try running with are, Michel Vick, Jeff Garcia, Donavon Mcnabb) also when you draft a QB in franchise mode the speed on the QB might be good. You don't even have to go past the line of scrimmage you can run also just to get away from a defense of line man so you don't get sacked. Oh and don't try this with a slow QB.1 more thing if you r a bout to get hit hard when you are playing press square and slid or dive.

PS2 | Submitted by Spenten100% Attendence and ALOT of Extra Money
Before u do this tip make sure you do not have the last game in the week. go into the owner box thing raise the advertisement all the way up on all of the things. then play your scheduled game for the week. then DO NOT SIM THE REST OF THE WEEK. go back to the owner box and you will see the attendance should be 99-100% and you have gained a lot of money. go to the advertisement thing again and bring it all down to 0.then you can sim the rest of the week. you can do this as many times as you want you will have good fan support and a lot of extra money to spend.

PS2 | Submitted by Kurry WoodBest Created WR and RB
If you are creating people and you want them to be the best this is what u must do. IF you are making a running back do this, make him as short as possible and as fat as possible and of course make him a 99 everything and make him young as well and make his body big and pas too!! For the best WR make him young, as tall as possible and a heavy as possible and the best atributes(99) and make his body and pads as big as possible as well!! It sounds crazy but ive been doing it this way for all of the madden years. These created people will do everything and if you make them a 99 on everything you can play them at any position and they will be the best! Have fun winning!
-
PS2 | Submitted by GamesRadarSpecial Plays
If you are leading the ball game late in the fourth quarter and your opponent has the ball always make sure you play a quarter defense (the one with five cornerbacks). I assure you, the opponent will play a hurry-up offense and they'll score a td because you didn't have enough cornerbacks and someone was left open.
