Fox has released yet more images from X-Men: First Class including one that shows Magneto in full supervillain garb. And we’ve got to say, the helmet is much, much better than the plastic bucket that Ian McKellen was forced to balance on his bonce in the first three X-Men movies, and – bonus! – it also looks more faithful to the comics. We approve heartily.
Meanwhile, director Matthew Vaughn was shocked to see that group image hit the internet earlier this week. “I freaked out on them yesterday,” he says. “I don’t know where the hell that came from. I don’t think it’s a Fox image. It’s not a pre-approved image. When I found out, I said, ‘What the f*ck is this sh*t?’ and Fox is running around trying to figure out what happened as well. I agree. It’s like a bad Photoshop, which maybe it was by someone. It didn’t reflect the movie. I was shocked when I saw it. I was like ‘Jesus Christ’...”
