We've seen a lot of really hardcore gamers in our day, but this guy may just take the cake. Over the weekend, a Chinese man rented out Asia's largest LED screen -the second-largest LED screen in the world -for just 10 minutes to play an MMO on it. And it has been suggested that he paid around $15,000 for the opportunity.
Measuring in at over 80,000 square feet, larger than a football field, the screen at The Place in Beijing is a sight to behold. It usually decorates the city with spectacular images of oceans and other scenery, and in 2008 showcased huge broadcasts of the Olympic games.
But on Sunday night, it was all controlled by one man. He brought his personal laptop to the scene, tapped into the center's wireless network, and streamed his favorite MMO for all to see for about 10 minutes.
Reports on the amount he paid are unconfirmed, but according toMMO Site, "insiders" suggest that his stunt likely cost around100,000 yuan (approximately $15,000 USD). We don't know what MMO he was playing, but does it really matter?
