Marc Forster won't direct the World War Z sequel
No more zombies for German director
Director Marc Forster won't be involved in a sequel to World War Z .
Though no explicit reason was given for the director's decision not to helm a second round of zombie carnage, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that he won't be returning.
Which isn't exactly a surprise given the notoriously torturous production of the first film - which included shooting an entirely new third act.
Despite the fact that World War Z went on to become one of 2013's biggest box office hits, it seems Forster doesn't fancy going through all of that again.
One person who definitely is returning, though, is Brad Pitt, who is setting the sequel up at his production company Plan B Entertainment.
“We are talking about it," Pitt told THR . "We are going to investigate a script. We have a lot of ideas we will cull from. Nobody is writing just yet, but we are compiling our ideas.”
