Mark Ruffalo talks The Avengers
It's all about getting along
Mark Ruffalo has given a little update on what we can expect from The Avengers , by describing what he feels is the film’s overarching theme: teamwork.
“You have all these disparate egos, superheroes in this and that, and they refuse to give up some of their positions in order to make a more perfect union and to join the team,” said Ruffalo to the Wall Street Journal .
“That’s really what the whole movie is about,” he continues, “subjugating your own best interest momentarily to further that of the whole.”
Meanwhile, word on the street is that Marvel is planning re-shoots over the next couple of weeks ahead of the film’s release in the spring. We can only wonder whether Hugo Weaving will be among the actors present…
The Avengers opens in the UK on 27 April 2012. Prepare to assemble at your local multiplex…
