Marvel considering Alexandra Daddario for Jessica Jones TV show
With production on Daredevil well underway, Marvel has begun turning attention to its next small-screen project, Jessica Jones, with a shortlist having been drawn up for the title role.
According to Deadline, a number of actresses have been invited in to test for the part of Jessica Jones, with Alexandra Daddario thought to be one of the favourites.
Krysten Ritter, Teresa Palmer and Jessica De Gouw are also said to be in the running to play the PTSD-suffering superhero who decides to hang up her cape and open a detective agency.
The report also reveals that Luke Cage will first be introduced in the Jessica Jones show, with testing also underway for that role. Lance Goss and Mike Colter are currently said to be in contention.
The new show has yet to receive an official air date, with Daredevil set to air in 2015.
