Mass Effect 3 multiplayer confirmed by OXM cover story
The rumors were true, you’ll play Mass Effect online next year
Even before it was announced last year, speculation continued to mount that Mass Effect 3 would add online multiplayer to the archetypally single player series. Over the last month or so, more proof has mounted and rumors snuck out, culminating with today’s reveal the cover of next month’s Official Xbox Magazine which confirms that Mass Effect 3 does have multiplayer.
As our sister publication OXM revealed today that the new mode will be detailed in their next issue, but other than announcing the title has multiplayer, no other details were revealed. However, we will note that the team on the cover looks a little… off. Shep and Liara just don’t look right, if that's even them on the cover. Is this implying some level of character customization in the mode? We don’t know, but we feel certain that we’ll know more very soon.
