Come to London MCM Expo on 27 May and meet comics legend Pat Mills on the SFX stand
At the end of the month, the now-traditional London MCM Expo takes place at the ExCeL Centre in London's docklands area. With over 50,000 people visiting each show it's become a genuine showcase of cult entertainment and popular culture. And once again, we'll be there - and we'll be joined by Pat Mills (of 2000 AD , Requiem Vampire Knight and American Reaper fame) on Friday 27 May.
Known as the "godfather of British comics", writer and editor Pat launched 2000 AD in 1977. He subsequently played a major part in creating several of its most famous characters and also helped launch several comics that were key in the rising careers of talents such as Garth Ennis. Now, as part of Repeat Offenders with Clint Langley and Jeremy Davis, he’s working on new graphic novels such as Dinosty and American Reaper . Over the last decade he’s broken into the French market too, penning the Requiem Vampire Knight series.
What to meet him and get an autograph? Sure you do! He'll be at the SFX stand (booth number 359) at London MCM Expo signing copies of both 2000 AD and his Repeat Offenders work on Friday 27 May from 14.30 to 15.30 and again from 16.00 to 17.00. Come and say hello to one of the British comics industry's most influential figures!
And look out for more details this week about SFX 's panel on the Comic Village stage...
