The 2022 Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards were presented Saturday at Baltimore Comic-Con. In addition to announcing winners from the main ballot, which were voted on by industry professionals, the fifth annual Ringo Awards also presented Fan-Only Favorites and special awards to select individuals.

Fan-Only Favorites spanned five categories, with the winners as follows: Vincent King was awarded Favorite new talent; Image Comics was awarded Favorite publisher; Captain Martell from the self-titled Blowback was awarded Favorite villain; Webtoon's Clinic of Horrors was awarded Favorite new series, and Silas from Image's Syphon was awarded Favorite hero.

For special awards, Jonna and the Unpossible Monsters from Oni Press was awarded the Mike Wieringo Spirit Award, Scott Dunbier was awarded the Dick Giordano Humanitarian of the Year Award, and Steve Geppi was awarded the Hero Initiative Lifetime Achievement Award.

Meanwhile, James Tynion IV swept the three categories in which he and his work were nominated, as did the Albatross Funnybooks true crime graphic novel, Did You Hear What Eddie Gein Done? by Eric Powell.
