Spectre shows off Bellucci's role in the next Bond
No Bond film is complete without expensive tuxedos, an upgraded Aston Martin and beautiful women (who tend to disappear after each film). For Spectre, director Sam Mendes has enlisted two established actresses to make an impact in Bond's business: Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux, both of whom appear in a new featurette for the new film, dubbed Spectre.
The behind-the-scenes clip delves into the histories of both women, offering a few extra tidbits of info. Bellucci plays mournful widow Lucia Sciarra, while Seydoux is cast as Dr. Madeleine Swann. You can see both discussing their characters in the brief segment below.
"They both have great mystery, and they both have great depths," says Mendes, before adding that there was simply no way any other actresses would have done the roles justice. Also starring Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista, Spectre opens in the UK on October 26, followed by a US release on November 6.
