Metal Gear 4 tipped for March, dated at TGS?
Word comes from Konami Japan that the exact release date will be revealed at Tokyo Game Show
It only happened a few hours ago in Japan, but word has already slipped out from a Konami analyst meeting about the release date for Metal Gear Solid 4. Apparently the final date will be announced at the Tokyo Game Show, with "March" being the prime target.
The Kotaku boys got wind of the news from an insider in Japan who attended the meeting and reported back some cut-to-the-chase bullet points.
They are:
- Metal Gear Solid 4's exact release date will be announced at the Tokyo Game Show
- President Fumiaki Tanaka of Konami Digital Entertainment stated that release is likely Q4 March 2008
- President Tanaka also stated, "As we are aware of the popularity and hardware-driving power of this software franchise, going forward we are open to taking this franchise across to other platforms."
What's that? Metal Gear going multi-platform or the Metal Gear Solid franchise going multi-platform? We thought the franchise had already gone multi-platform with the Xbox games...
