Biography: Snake’s potential love interest and official niece of Colonel Campbell (although she’s actually his daughter), Meryl has risen through the ranks since the original MGS.
What she’s doing in MGS4: She’s now the leader of a reactivated FOXHOUND - this was the group set up by Big Boss to track down rogue FOX agents; FOXHOUND later went rogue itself, when under the control of Liquid Snake during the Shadow Moses incident depicted in Metal Gear Solid. She doesn’t seem to be leading well though - one MGS4 trailer seemingly depicts her squad getting wiped out by Liquid Ocelot while infiltrating one of the PMCs (Private Military Companies) affiliated with Outer Heaven (Liquid’s personal army).
