Remember Shadow Moses, the project that was hoping to remake the original Metal Gear Solid in Unreal Engine 4? That concept was killed, but something just as intriguing is being built upon its bones. No longer a full-fledged remake, Shadow Moses has been transformed into what is now called "The Fan Legacy: Metal Gear Solid" - a virtual museum dedicated to fans of Hideo Kojima's stealth-action series. Even better, they're getting help from the voice of Solid Snake himself, David Hayter.
The Fan Legacy will be available on PC starting next month, free of charge. MGS fans who've picked up a virtual reality headset such as the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive are in for a particular treat, as the experience will support VR. It might not be in the exact way some surely hoped, but the fans behind the project are still aiming to take you back to Shadow Moses. I'm down with that.
