Michael Bay hits back at Transformers 3 trouble rumours
“I actually loved shooting in 3D”
Transformers 3 hasn’t exactly been the quietest of movie productions, what with Megan Fox’s explosive departure – and, y’know, the actual explosions taking place on set.
The latest rumour making headlines, though, has hinted that the latest outing for the Autobots – and Shia Labeouf – has hit the skids with 3D problems.
Director Michael Bay isn’t having any of it, though, striking the rumours down where their ugly heads rise with an, uh, exhuberant rant on his blog.
“I read these morons on the internet who think they are in the know. ‘We have have problems with our 3D????’ Really?” he rants.
“Come into my edit room and I will show you beautiful 3D. There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3 . We shot the entire movie with 3D cameras. I actually loved shooting in 3D.”
Which is a massive turnaround for a director who once blasted 3D as a horrible gimmick.
Bay also promised to make all the naysayers eat their words when the trailer for Transformers: Dark Side Of The Moon debuts at showings of Tron: Legacy and Narnia: Voyage Of The Dawn Treader later this year. Bring it on, Bay.
