UK price drop for 360, Elite hits at under £300

The price of both the Xbox 360 Core and Premium packs in the UK have been dropped by Microsoft this morning. Now a Core will set you back just £179.99, while the Premium bundle (with 20gb hard drive and wireless controller) is reduced to £249.99 from today.
In even better news, Microsoft has slotted in its brand new Xbox Elite package at the old price of the Premium set. For £299.99 you can bag yourself a black Xbox 360 with black controller, 120gb hard drive and HDMI port.
With the difference at just 30 of your English pounds, it seem ridiculous than anyone would even consider buying a Premium pack now, instead of the new Elite. Now, if Sony would just drop the PS3 price in response...
