Mike Colter has announced the premiere date for Marvel's Luke Cage

Next week sees the release of Daredevil's second season, but if you're anything like us it won't be long before you're craving your next Marvel-Netflix fix. That will come in the form of Luke Cage, and while he was at Daredevil's season 2 premiere in Paris last weekend the show's star Mike Colter announced the premiere date for Netflix's third Marvel solo series.

"It's going to be action-packed, from beginning to the very end. Trust me. 'Daredevil' premieres March 18, and I will see the fans on September 30th", Colter revealed. Check out the video below (and skip to 2:09 for the Luke Cage announcement).

Luke Cage was introduced in Marvel and Netflix's Jessica Jones last year, and the character left quite the impression. When we catch up with him in his solo series, he'll be "a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city - forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury." Here's hoping we get some more details soon.

Starring Mike Colter, Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Rosario Dawson, Frank Whaley, and Sônia Braga, season 1 of Marvel's Luke Cage arrives in its entirety on Netflix September 30, 2016.
