It's kind of hard to believe that a new Mirror's Edge game is coming out in just a few weeks. Yet here we are, with the Mirror's Edge Catalyst launch trailer to remind us that not only is this really happening, but it looks damn good too:
Even though this is labeled as a launch trailer, don't get too excited; the game won't be available until June 7. Maybe we can give this the Launch Trailer Released Furthest From Actual Launch 2016 Award?
For those who could use a reminder: The original game for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC was released eight years ago, and was never a breakout hit sales-wise. The first-person parkour adventure nonetheless developed a strong fanbase, with players begging for a sequel.
The fact that we're finally getting a new entry, made in Frostbite 3 and turned open-world - even if it trends more toward reboot than sequel - is kind of a miracle. I guess it's true what they say. Sometimes you gotta have Faith.
