Why you can trust GamesRadar+
It would be silly to dismiss the vast amount of gaming options that exist in 2K8, as anyone with the time to spare could no doubt get lost in its environs. A typically deep franchise mode enables you to tinker to your heart's content, and the online options are more than anything you could want from a current-generation console offering. We shouldn't forget about the return of commentators John Miller and Joe Morgan, who do their typically superb job of letting you know what's happening in front of your eyes.

Ultimately, MLB 2K8 is a stellar upgrade of last year's PS2 title. Even lacking a significant gameplay update under the hood, it remains a good option in a great year of baseball games. While MLB 08 The Show has stolen our hearts, MLB 2K8 demands respect - and a little love too.
