Mobile Ops: The One Year War
You can't fool us, this is a Mobile Suit Gundam game
Namco Bandai announced today that they'll be releasing an over-the-shoulder third-person shooter featuring the familiar Gundam giant robots without the familiar Gundam name. Mobile Ops: The One Year War depicts the battle of rebellious space colonists versus the oppressive Earth Federation in a far-flung future of hot robot on robot action. Electronic countermeasures (devices that render electronic communications useless) have created an environment where only gigantic mechanized warriors can fight with any degree of success, so it's time to bring out the big guns - and the big metal men to hold them.
Add this new title to the growing list of mech games currently in the 360's 2006 roster, like Chromehounds and Lost Planet, and this could be the year of the giant robot for Microsoft's spanking-new console. We at GamesRadar can't wait ... it's going to be a full year of battloid blasting mayhem.
