In an interview with Philadelphia Style , Kevin Bacon speaks about playing the villainous Sebastian Shaw in X-Men: First Class , revealing that it’s not exactly an all-action role: “I’ll let the younger actors do that. I’m more one of those sit-in-my-chair-and-destroy-the-world type of guys.” Meanwhile, Comic Book Movie has posted an email from actor Greg Savage, who has a small role in the film as a submarine captain, which confirms that the movie deals with the Cuban missile crisis.

Ron Howard On The Dark Tower
A Beautiful Mind and Willow director Ron Howard has been speaking to Hero Complex about his approach to filming Stephen King’s epic The Dark Tower fantasy series: “Filmically, there are tones in this that I have never used before, tones of fantasy menace and elements of horror and real fear. And there’s the burden, on the characters, of this journey that is really palpable. That’s what we need to get on the screen. I think there’s something about Green Mile or Shawshank Redemption … the complexity and the ballast of them, those are two [King adaptations] where you do get the horror and suspense that’s there on the page. We’re charging ourselves with the responsibility of getting a real understanding of the material and utilizing many of the best aspects of the books and graphic novels.”
