Stone Signs Seal
Not content with one ageing musical muse in the shape of George Michael, Eli Stone – the Jonny Lee Miller-starring US show about a lawyer who has visions – has signed up Seal for an appearance in the second season. TV Guide reports that while George Michael was a recurring guest star in Eli’s visions in season one, Seal will be appearing as himself in the “real” world in one episode (though Michael also appeared in one episode in season one where he was the "real” George Michael, proving once and for all, he’s no actor). Apparently, Seal is Eli’s ex’s fave singing star.
Raimi and Maguire Will Reunite for Spidey 4
Deadline Hollywood is claiming that Sony has signed up Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire for not just Spidey 4, but possibly Spidey 5 as well.
Gatchaman Trailer
Imagi has poster a teaser trailer (below) for its upcoming CG-animated Gatchaman movie. Gatchaman was, of course, the Japanese series which was re-edited (and saddled with 7 Zark 7) and aired in the West as Battle of the Planets. The film – due out early next year – is directed by TMNT’s Kevin Munroe and written by Paul Dini, one of the creative forces behind the animated Batman TV series. Apparently it’s going to have some of the most ambitious animated action sequences ever attempted.
