Over at The New York Post , producer Todd Black teased some facts about the next Spider-Man film. He was being interviewed about The Taking of Pelham 123, but he confirmed a couple of interesting facts about Spider-Man 4 during the course of the interview:
(1) Kirsten Dunst is definitely on board to reprise her role as Mary Jane, despite recent rumours to the contrary.
(2) Although Sam Raimi has been quoted as talking about Morbius the vampire, Black says he definitely will not be the villain in film four.
Instead Black says, "Trust me, people will appreciate who we pick [as the villain], because it'll be a big part of New York." He also confirmed that the Big Bad will be one of Spidey's foes from the comic, not a newly invented character.
If it's one villain (to avoid making the film top heavy with bad buys like Spidey 3) and they treat the character with respect, this sounds like a good thing. So what do you think? Curt Connors finally becomes The Lizard? The Kingpin? Carnage? Suggestions in the comment thread below.
