Morgan Freeman is Nelson Mandela
In The Human Factor...
Morgan Freeman has signed up for the part many people believe he was born to play - Nelson Mandela.
The Human Factor is based on the upcoming John Carlin book The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Changed the World.
Set after the fall of apartheid, during Mandela's first term as South African president, The Human Factor tells the story of Mandela's involvement with the 1995 Rugby World Cup, hosted by South Africa, which he used as a tool to bring whites and blacks together.
Freeman is not only starring, he's producing, and has put in some air miles to discuss the project with Mandela.
"I have known Nelson Mandela personally for quite some time, and am continually in awe of his enormous presence in the world," Freeman said. "The opportunity to portray him in this film is a great honor."
