Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection arrives on XBLA and PSN tomorrow, kool

The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is now available on PSN in North America. The package includes the original Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and will be available globally on XBLA and PSN tomorrow. The PC version is expected sometime in October. The announcement trailer below includes plenty of slow-panning scenes of virtual arcades as well as a smattering of fatalities. Oddly, both seem to take place in a dungeon.

Since it's been almost two decades since we first saw MK, fans can expect a few upgrades. The Kollection supports online play, leader boards, Achievements and Trophies. There's also an original mode which reverts the games back to their arcade styles. They'll be $9.99 on PSN or 800 Microsoft points on XBLA — a very low price for that rare type of game that can truly be called a klassic.
