Mortal Kombat demo koming next week for PlayStation Plus members, later for everyone else

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios have announced that a Mortal Kombat demo will be released on March 8 exclusively for PlayStation Plus members (this PS Plus thing is turning out to be a valuable asset, 'aint it?). The demo will become available for all PSN members on March 15, and for XBL users "later" - sorry 360 owners, that's all they wrote.

The demo will feature four fighters, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena and Johnny Cage, two arenas, the Living Forest and the Pit, and a one or two player arcade ladder. If for some reason you've forgotten what Mortal Kombat is, check out a recent trailer below:

Mortal Kombat is out for 360 and PS3 on April 19. We've probably written a few things about the game, and I suggest that you read them, because if you don't, you might know fewer things about it, and all your friends will laugh at you when you load up the demo and mistakenly forget to make a joke about Mortal Kombat: The Album, or mention the upcoming live-action web series. What embarrassment!
