Jason Voorhees slices into Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pass on Tuesday
If you're familiar with a certain genre of fan fiction, Mortal Kombat XJason Voorhees might sound more like a sexy crossover than a DLC character. Thankfully, that's not what Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment meant when it announced that Jason Voorhees is coming to Mortal Kombat X tomorrow for Kombat Pack owners on PC, PS4, and Xbox One… I think.
The machete-wielding antagonist of the Friday the 13th series arrives as part of the Jason Voorhees Bundle, which also includes including a matching player icon and the Horror Pack. Said pack adds new skins for three base-game fighters: Pharaoh Ermac, Vampiress Mileena, and Kraken Reptile.
If you don't want to buy the $29.99 / £24.99 Kombat Pack (which will also add the Predator, Tanya, and Tremor as playable characters to the Mortal Kombat X roster, along with more skin packs), you'll have to wait until May 12 to pick up Jason by himself for $4.99 / £3.99, or in the previously mentioned Jason Voorhees Bundle for $7.99 / £6.49. And if you're just interested in those new skins, the Horror Pack will also be available on its own for $3.99 / £3.29 starting the same day.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
