MotoGP '07 revealed
First screens and info on the superbike racer
MotoGP '07 is officially on its way to Xbox 360 and we have the first screens of the awesome bike racer.
As expected, the detail on the bikes is astonishing, and these shots (hit the Images tab above for the rest) also show off some shiny tarmac reflections, focus blur, and a street race that takes you through Tokyo.
The 360 racer will feature all-new bikes, tracks, and enhanced customization options building on the 'Extreme' mode that allows players to race on city streets around the world. THQ is also promising interactive track-side crowds, new online tournament features, online pink-slip racing and "significantly" more bike and player customization options. Other new features include complete 2007 rider and team data, new 800cc MotoGP bikes and the newly-announced Misano event.
"THQ's MotoGP titles have shipped in excess of 1.5 million units and are critically acclaimed for pushing the limits of realism and console technology, " said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "With MotoGP '07, THQ raises the bar yet again for both core gamers and racing enthusiasts."
MotoGP '07 is expected to release this fall. Look for more soon, including word on which studio is developing the title after THQ took development in-house. The UK developer Climax worked on previous versions of the game.
