Today MY.GAMES has launched an international survey for gamers about their mental health and online experiences with cyberbullying - and anyone can (and should) take part. MY.GAMES is an international gaming brand, with more than 150 titles in its portfolio, including War Robots, Hustle Castle, Left to Survive, Skyforge

Games have played a crucial role in our lives the last few months. Many of us jumped into magical game worlds to keep our minds busy during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still a tangible threat in so many parts of the globe. While video games are a fantastic outlet and a great coping mechanism, the increase in online communication brings with it an increase in online harassment. The survey will help identify how gamers are coping, while also identifying types of cyberbullying and what can be done to better support mental health in the industry.

“Now more than ever, mental health awareness has become an important issue,” says Vasily Maguryan, CEO of MY.GAMES. “We take the health of our gamers seriously and this survey will give us vital feedback on how our global community is coping during this tumultuous year.”

The survey is backed by the International Game Developer Association, and is in partnership with Fair Play Alliance, a global coalition of gaming professionals and companies, and Take This, a mental health support program for people in the video game industry. All three partners consider gamers' mental health to be a serious issue that is too infrequently tackled within the gaming industry. According to MY.GAMES, all parties in the partnership have been able to offer different insights and expertise in the development of the survey to get the kind of results that can help shape MY.GAMES approach to the community, and the future of the industry The survey is open to anyone who plays games - you don't have to be a MY.GAMES player, just a member of our vast and diverse community.

"Never have the challenges of game players, game developers and the gaming community seemed so complex and overwhelming,” says Eve Crevoshay, Executive Director at Take This. “There has been a groundswell of support from the games industry and we believe that efforts like the survey being launched by MY.GAMES are crucial to determining how the industry needs to continue responding to supporting the mental health of its community."

You can take the survey by heading to SurveyGizmo. It will be available from now until November 22. Your opinion is vital and your mental health matters, so please help by participating in this important survey.
