Natalie Portman the new Lois Lane?
Could be lured into Daily Planet for the role
Natalie Portman could be in the running to play Lois Lane in the new Superman movie, currently being overseen by Christopher Nolan.
With her Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky added to the list of potential Man Of Steel helmers last week, it seems that he could be the direct line to Ms Portman for the iconic role.
Portman was reportedly favourite for Bryan Singer’s re-Supe when he forged Superman Returns in 2006, but after she turned the role down it went to Kate Bosworth instead.
Now that everything’s getting rebooted once more, Portman could get another shot at playing the feisty Daily Planet reporter. Will she accept it this time?
If Aronofsky ends up directing, that’s a definite possibility. We’d be surprised if he did take the gig, however, considering the amount of studio meddling that would inevitably be involved.
Which is perhaps the reason Ben Affleck, currently surfing the popularity wave thanks to The Town , reportedly considered directing Man Of Steel but eventually passed on it...
