Why you can trust GamesRadar+
It takes some slider tweaking of the game's settings to get to a point that feels better than the weak default ones, but even then it never feels quite natural. On offense, the Floor General play calling system and right-stick-flicking Freestyle moves provide some needed relief, while the Lockdown Stick returns to give your defenders a fighting chance to rein in your opponents.
We'll happily admit that creating a player and dropping him into your Dynasty is plenty fun - our favorite atomic superman was a 7'6" freshman center who was all knees and elbows. The big fella sure couldn't do much as a youngster - but he could block shots and throw down slamtastic dunks so long as he had decent position. We also dug the College Classics options, which will undoubtedly get historic hoops fans all pumped up to peer into the past with legendary greats like Jordan and Alcindor when they were just kids (their names aren't in the game, but we know who they are).
