Why you can trust GamesRadar+
About the only so-called "new" feature of any value this season is an expanded set of all-time classic teams. We'd be lying if we didn't love digging deep into some of these squads for set up epic battles of historic proportions, because we do. Even though names aren't used, it's awesome to dial up Maravich, Robertson, Jordan and all sorts of other legends from days gone by.
In addition, the dynasty option still offers a deep experience for those of you willing to put in the time. However, if you've already sunk a significant amount of your gaming life in into making Rider or St. Peter's a national powerhouse in any recent iteration, is there any compelling reason to start over? We're inclined to say no.
Clearly, though, the most egregious aspect of March Madness 08 is the decision by EA to completely remove online play from the equation. While we don't doubt that the number of PS2 owners heading online regularly is dwindling by the minute, it's a slap in the face to longtime fans and has to make you wonder why the price hasn't dropped along with the available feature set.
