Need for Speed: The Run demo coming Oct 18, more supermodel footage released
New clip goes behind the scenes of Tuesday's “Supermodels” trailer
EA has announced an October 18 download date for the Need for Speed: The Run demo. The demo will allow players to preview some of the game's desert section, with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni available for test driving. Similar to past EA promotions, there's also the chance to unlock further vehicles in the retail version of the game if you can rope some other players into taking the demo for a spin.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S was previously teased as Special Edition content, but EA promise that the NFS: The Run demo will include the option to invite other players in on the trial. Should some poor sap mistake your covetous self-interest for a genuine recommendation, you'll have day-one access to the Carrera when the game hits retail on Nov 15.
When we last checked in on The Run, EA had just announced the addition of Sports Illustrated models Irina Shayk and Christy Teigen to the cast. Here's a longer clip featuring the ladies' thoughts on the title and some behind-the-scenes footage. Those of you secretly titillated by 3D motion-cap suits, consider your day made.
