Neil Marshall talks The Descent 2
“I’m overseeing it, but overseeing it from a distance”
Neil Marshall has spoken out on his involvement with The Decent 2, the sequel to his intense caving expedition movie.
“I’m an executive producer on it, I’m overseeing it, but overseeing it from a distance,” he told Megastar . Marshall admitted that he never intended on making sequels to his movies, but no longer had the control to make that call.
“For me, the story was wrapped up but they wanted to do a second part and they own the rights. And I don’t own the rights to Dog Soldiers, so I couldn’t do a sequel anyway.
“Actually,” he added. “Doomsday is the only film I’ve made where I did consciously set out thinking I could make a sequel to this and it’s never going to get one!”
