The Punisher will strike fear into the hearts of criminals again this November, according to one of the directors involved with Netflix's Marvel spin-off. During an interview about the FX show Fargo, The Hollywood Reporter asked Irish director Dearbhla Walsh if this was her first time traveling to the US to direct an episode of TV programming. That's when Walsh let this slip (emphasis mine):
"One other time that hasn't been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it's not airing until November. I directed that in New York and edited in L.A., but this was my first directing experience in lovely Canada."
Whoops. Mayhaps because she wasn't being interviewed specifically about Punisher, Marvel didn't give Walsh some "don't say this" points to keep in mind? Oh well. If Walsh is right, I know what I'll be grateful for on Thanksgiving.
Well, except that outfit. Still not a fan.
