Netflix show The OA looks like the next Stranger Things (at least until Stranger Things season 2)

What is it with Netflix and weird, trippy conspiracy shows lately? The streaming service already has Black Mirror and Stranger Things, but this Friday it'll add another Twilight Zone-ish title to its lineup. Meet The OA, a show about … uh … well, just watch the trailer and see if you can tell me:

Now if you watched that and thought, "Well, it's a bit odd but not that weird," I want you to hop on over to The OA's Instagram account. You really need to see it all yourself for the full effect, but here's a sample:

Women looking sullen in bathtubs! Men's faces reflected in glasses of water! Hands driving crowbars through eyes! Upside down people floating through space! What does it all mean? I don't know, but considering The OA will stream all chapters on December 16, we won't have to wait long to find out.

Stranger Things season 2, on the other hand, isn't airing until October 27, 2017.
