New Batman could make his bow as early as 2015
Justice League rumoured to be next after Man Of Steel
Today's hot superhero rumour has DC lining up its long-awaited Justice League movie to go directly into competition with The Avengers 2 , with Batman On Film reporting that the film is being lined up for summer 2015.
The site claims that a DC source has revealed the studio's plans to release Justice League as its next picture after Man Of Steel , with summer 2015 currently in the crosshairs as a launching pad for the superhero mash-up.
The film would include a new incarnation of Batman, who would be introduced as part of this team-up project before being launched into an all-new series of Batman films.
Rumour has it that DC will also use Justice League as a platform from which to reboot Green Lantern , after the Ryan Reynolds incarnation was disastrously received by fans and critics alike. Even Henry Cavill might not return as Superman, with Zack Snyder claiming that Man Of Steel is not a link to the Justice League project.
At this stage, all of the above remains unconfirmed, but it certainly sounds as though the wheels are beginning to clank into motion on this one. At present, Gangster Squad scribe Will Beall is working on a script, while Warner figures out the exact direction it wants to pursue. Watch this space...
