New cast and filming details for Richard Ayoade's The Double
Cameras roll later this month
The Double , Richard Ayoade's adaptation of the novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, has released a host of new information, including shooting details and confirmation of several new supporting players.
Submarine duo Yasmin Paige and Noah Taylor have both been added to the ensemble, which stars Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska in the leading roles, with James Fox and Wallace Shawn also set to appear.
Eisenberg wlll play Simon, an insignificant man whose world is turned upside down by the sudden appearance of James, his exact physical doppelganger, who takes a job at Simon's firm.
Confident, charismatic and good with women, James might look like Simon, but that's about as far as the similarities go. Understandably perturbed by the situation, it isn't long before Simon begins to feel that James is taking over his life…
No release date has been confirmed for the film as yet, but with filming beginning in just a couple of weeks time (20 May, to be precise), it looks as though we won't have to wait too long to see this one on the big screen.
