New Catherine trailer shows gameplay for the first time
Now it's a 3D puzzle platformer, and Catherine's a virgin... or, was a virgin
The latest trailer for Atlus' sexually-charged upcoming title Catherine features the firstdetailed footage of gameplay. It shows the game's protagonist, Vincent, running around in a way distinctly reminiscent of Ghost & Goblin's Sir Arthur. Also, like Capcom's famous knight, Vincent dies repeatedly as he makes his way through what appear to be 3D platforming sections involving spikes and block pushing.
The sheep that have been featured since the first trailer seem to be advising Vincent on the rules of the dream world he inhabits, offering him items and teaching him skills that are “the key to surviving.” The vignette at the end of the trailer features Catherine lying atop of Vincent telling him, “Yesterday was amazing. That was the first time I've ever done that. Are you going to make me say it? Fine, I mean sex.”
We're hoping harder than ever that Catherine is released outside of Japan.
