New clip from Dredd: watch now
Judge Anderson shares her ideology
Dredd has released a new clip online, in which Olivia Thirlby's rookie Judge Anderson explains her desire to make a difference as she and Dredd (Karl Urban) make their way into Ma-Ma's Peach Trees tower block.
The film sees the two Judges forced to fight their way through the various levels of the vertical slum in order to track down Ma-Ma (Headey), a cruel gang leader responsible for flooding Mega-City One with the reality-altering drug Slo-Mo
"I want to protect and serve the city," explains Anderson. "I was born and raised in a block like this… I know there are good people inside." Worthy ambitions, then, although Dredd doesn't seem overly moved by them…

Not much of the much-talked-about splatter and ultraviolence in this scene then, although Karl Urban still comes across as a total badass without needing to reach for his gun. His growled "admirable" cuts through Anderson's worthy sermonising very nicely indeed.
Directed by Pete Travis from a script by Alex Garland, Dredd opens in the UK on 7 September 2012. Not long to go now!
