New Dark Knight Rises footage revealed

The Dark Knight Rises has released some new footage from the film, with the video package introduced by some of the cast at the MTV Movie Awards now available to watch online.

The new footage focuses upon Gotham cop John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) interviewing Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and grilling her on Bane (Tom Hardy), before turning the spotlight on the latter and his reign of terror.

"Let the games begin," breathes Bane as the familiar shots of collapsing bridges and exploding trading floors reappear. A storm is coming, and it looks set to be a rough one…

You can check out the new footage over at ComingSoon.net , where the video package is available in all its high-quality glory! There's also a new viral site to play around with, that allows you to use your webcam to transform your ugly mug into that of Bane, Batman or Catwoman. Pointless? Maybe, but fun with it!

At this point, we're kind of hoping that's the last of the new footage we'll see before the film's big release. If Prometheus 's marketing campaign taught us anything, it's that less can very often be more. Still, don't be surprised to see at least one more TV spot revealed in the next couple of weeks.

The Dark Knight Rises opens in the UK on 20 July 2012. Not too long to go now...
