New Fast 8 set photo reveals Dwayne Johnson's 'Iceman'

Fast and Furious 8 is currently filming all over the world, and the latest country lucky enough to play host to its vehicular mayhem is Iceland. As such, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson - who will be returning as Luke 'Samoan Thor' Hobbs in the film - has taken to Instagram to post a new set photo along with a new nickname; 'The Iceman'.

Check it out below...

Whether it's the one-liners or the bruising fistfights, Johnson's Hobbs has been a consistent highlight of the last three Fast & Furious films. It looks like the character will have much more screen time this time round too - scheduling issues meant Johnson's Furious 7 role was reduced - and I'm looking forward to seeing how and why Hobbs crosses paths with Toretto and co next year. Also, more team-ups like this please...

Directed by F. Gary Gray and starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Charlize Theron, Dame Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Scott Eastwood, Kristofer Hivju, and Jason Statham, Fast and Furious 8 is due to open in the US and UK on April 14, 2017.
