New FIFA Street screens will just play anywhere
Play on the beaches, play in the streets, even play on soccer pitches if you like
EA has released a generous passel of screenshots for its upcoming FIFA Street relaunch. The new shots offer glimpses of the wide variety of stadium types on offer, both in sparse wide angles and frenetic mid-game close-ups. There's also several glimpses of the game's team editing/menu screens and world map, if you've forgotten where Dubai is.
FIFA Street is EA's relaunch of the street-football franchise, first seen in 2005 as part of the company's EA Big series. While the Street addendum has always meant a faster-paced, flashier game than the company's bread-and-butter yearly franchises, this reboot will run on the same engine as FIFA 12, meaning you can expect a little more simulation mixed in with your arcade-style play. The game's scheduled for release early next year, with EA Sports Season Ticketholders eligible for a turn before the rest of you get your hands on it.
