New Frankenweenie clip arrives: watch now
There’s life in the old dog yet...
Frankenweenie has released a new clip in which young Vincent desperately tries to revive his dead dog Sparky, only for his experiment to prove more successful that he could ever have hoped.
The film follows Vincent as he sets about bringing Sparky back from the dead, a resurrection that has far-reaching ramifications, when the rest of the town’s children attempt to reanimate their own beloved pets.
Before he knows it, the entire town is awash with undead critters, some of whom are fairly harmless and others... not so much.
Call us soft, but everything about this has us starting to well up, from Vincent’s quiet tears to Sparky’s tentative tail-wagging. The Frankenstein story was always heartbreaking, but with a dog in the title role... best bring the Kleenex.
Directed by Tim Burton and starring the vocal talents of Winona Ryder, Martin Short and Catherine O’Hara, Frankenweenie opens in the UK on 17 October 2012.
