Dec 11, 2007
The Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack has been released on Xbox Live Marketplace, adding three new multiplayer maps which Microsoft says each present a "totally different play style."
800 Microsoft points (£6.80/ $10) gets you Standoff, Rat's Nest and Foundry. If you’ve been living in a cave for the last two weeks and haven’t heard anything about these new and awesome additions to the Halo 3 world, check out our in-depth HaloRadar analysis here.
Here’s a brief summary of the maps from the official blurb:
"Standoff's symmetrical valley, with its entrenched bases and fields of boulders is ideal for mid-sized objective and Slayer game types.”
Rat's Nest is a vast labyrinth of passages, "an indoor vehicle paradise, strongly influenced by the Campaign mode, ideal for big team battles."
Foundry is "the ultimate Forge map, players can edit every single object in this voluminous industrial warehouse, place stairways, walls, bridges and tunnels to create an entirely new play space and build almost any kind of map they can think of.”
